6 Hands (Al Muntaha*)

On paper, the 6 Hands looked amazing—and, really, what could be missing? Jason Atherton—albeit slightly problematic these days? But yes, good food and a great local team at Row on 45. Chef Himanshu? Well, I’m biased. And finally, Chef Saverio Sbaragli, whose food I’ve not had previously, but was cooking from the ‘home’ kitchen at cruise ship-esque/slightly Tron outfitted Al Muntaha (IYKYK). However, at the end of the experience, I personally thought the evening was a good reminder of the clear difference between 1 and 2-star kitchens.

We have a late start and an extended meal (I don’t fault the team, but I do fully blame those at the table who rocked up an hour late — !!!). However, the reality is that I simply cannot eat a lot of food much past 10 PM (unless it’s deep fried or a Pitfire garlic knot). Thus, when…
