Ossiano* (Wanderlust)
I (obviously) never need an excuse to accept an invitation to Ossiano. And for the most recent season, I wanted to give time for the new Wanderlust menu to finalize before visiting, which pushed my most recent experience to mid-November. In terms of ambiance, with a slight refresh within the restaurant — better lighting, an expansive LED screen complete with suitable sea creatures on a formerly dead space of the back wall, and seating changed in the bar/lounge area — all of the adjustments help bring the restaurant forward.
So, what about the menu? With a mixture of new and old, the dinner moves seamlessly forward in ‘waves.’ Chef Gregoire has never had any issues with the flow of the meal. The creative approach of moving away from Season 1’s Brittany/personally focused menu now expands in the second season across France in the form of a clever map.
