Four Seasons Florence
In our rather haphazard planning of an Eid trip to Italy, a late request yielded an acceptance for a (gratis) two-night stay at the Four Seasons Florence. It’s no secret that I’m a long-time fan of the Four Seasons brand, and I find their reliable luxury comforting as well as something to look forward to. Although we were given the lowest category of room — no complaints, it’s still stunning — the bed was still next-level comfortable, and for Europe, we had ample space. The two-sink bathroom includes a separate shower, bathtub, and toilet, as well as natural light. For our visit during the shoulder season, none of the outdoor outlets or the pool are open. However, the staff are all friendly, there is a shuttle service to the city center, the Atrium Bar is a perfect place for people-watching (as well as a well-mixed Cosmopolitan and a range of Negronis), and the grounds are beautiful.
