Wylie Hotel
I’ll admit I can’t seem to get this whole ‘booking an Atlanta hotel thing’ right. For someone who copiously researches hotel stays, there appears to be a block for me when finding a suitable property in Georgia. Last year’s Hotel Clermont, while nice, was not a perfect experience (primarily due to noise levels). In a similar neighborhood (literally down the street) is the Wylie Hotel, located even closer to our perennial favorite, Ponce City Market. Even in the top room category, I’m still not impressed with the space, and I wish the hotel had bathtubs (especially for the birthday boy). Furthermore, we go for a drink at the attached restaurant before dinner and are more or less ignored after ordering a single cocktail. Fine, we won’t spend money at your hotel, and so much for Southern Hospitality.
Would I return to the Wylie? No. The search for the perfect hotel in Atlanta continues, and I think returning to Airbnb might be the way forward. E…
