It’s not that my past two months haven’t been filled with wonderful new experiences; it’s more that I have been focusing on supporting restaurants I know and love. In looking ahead to July and August, I’m hoping to visit new restaurants (or those that have been on my list forever).
To start my summer season, I decided on Robata. The restaurant is from the same team who operates Takahisa (which you might remember as my most expensive meal in 2022; find the review here). To draw a quick comparison, Takahisa is helmed by a certified sushi master, while Robata provides guests with a Wagyu master. Robata is also located at the same property (Caesar’s Palace) and, in true Dubai fashion, is only slightly challenging to find. No one in Dubai seems to like incorporating comprehensive signage, but we (eventually) found the location OK. Let’s just say I have no trouble guessing which restaurants are third-party at most hotels.
