One thing I loved about visiting Bodrum was the ability to dine al fresco for every meal, including our ultimate dinner in Türkiye. Kitchen* does double duty, acting as the breakfast location (to which I have no complaints—the vibe is completely different in the evening — also, don’t sleep on the breakfast because it’s amazing.)
We spent the morning with Chef Osman Sezener, a 1.9m (!) gentle giant, and the man behind Kitchen. He showed us places in Bodrum that many wouldn’t see, including an in-home winery and a mandarin orchard, which supplies the restaurant. Enjoying fresh mandarin sorbet and then an ice-cold gin-based citrus drink in the warm sun was not a bad way to start your day, if I’m being honest.
After returning to the Edition for some R&R, our group reconvened at sunset. Our degustation began with a cocktail made from the mandarins we picked from the farm earlier in the day (#swoon). After some tasty amuse-bouche, we began earnestly with something I’m legitimately always happ…
