When deciding to make reservations for my husband’s birthday in Atlanta, I looked high and low across the city. Although Lazy Betty was on my list, after a less-than-average experience the year before, I knew we needed to try somewhere else.
Enter Georgia Boy.
Georgia Boy is a tasting menu concept located within the quirky Southern Belle on Ponce de Leon. This restaurant within a restaurant is the work of Chef Joey Ward and is offered three nights a week (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with a selection of timings).
On a rainy evening (and a very expensive Uber ride), we first stopped for a drink in the lounge. Georgia Boy has a dedicated cocktail menu, and we chose the Dirty South (Hubs) and the Better Late Than Feta (me). The drinks were a treat, and I’ll assume that $19 is the going price for fancy cocktails in Atlanta (inclusive of gratuity, which extends to pricing across the restaurant).
