While France was technically my first ‘fine dining’ outside of Dubai since November (thank you, Les 110), I was excited to try something in the States. Who am I kidding? I want to try new food at any given time. A look at several lists brought me to Lazy Betty, a celebrated restaurant in Atlanta. Needing a (small) break from the family, I booked us a night in a Hotel Clermont to avoid massive Uber fees going in and out of the ‘burbs. While satisfying any and all hipster needs, the attached (beloved) Clermont Lounge was louder than expected. I would return to the rooftop bar at Hotel Clermont, but that’s about it.
A less than 10 minute Uber ride away, the setting for Lazy Betty has gentrified Atlanta vibes, but this approach suits the style and the neighborhood. Our servers are all fantastic and a lot of fun to interact with. Unfortunately, they don’t quite read the pacing of the meal, and we have to (firmly) ask to slow down twice.
