2023 certainly didn’t go the way I thought it would. While I did travel for meals, I was out and about a bit less than usual (with no complaints), especially in the second half of the year. Even crazier? While on a three-week trip to the US, I didn’t plan a single meal (and loved the decision!). Given the location of our new villa, I imagine 2024 will be more of the same and that I will choose specific reasons to leave the comforts of Dubai South.

Top Three Meals of 2023:

• Ossiano x El Celler de Can Roca collab. Although I was at a few memorable Ossiano collaborations this year, the Roca team-up was my favorite, with a number of delightful dishes, and a menu that had only hits, no misses. Catch the experience here.

• Homa, Belgrade. There aren’t many more perfect lunches than the one we had at Homa. Even with each of us having something slightly different, the one-person service tea…
