On a recent weekend in November, I was able to visit Avatara for lunch. Before I get into the full review, I wanted to mention how delighted I was that a lunch service at a fine dining establishment in Dubai is available. Furthermore, for those who have younger diners, there is a kid-friendly availability for lunch during the weekend. All the children present during our meal were very well-behaved.
So, what prompted our meal? As many know, Avatara’s location has moved from Voco to Dubai Hills, which seemed like a good time to return and experience the third season. As much as I love the team, I am still unsure whether this new location will prove successful, especially as there is a lot of competition in the Emaar Business Park/Dubai Hills Mall. For example, I think a more casual approach, like the upcoming licensed (!) Pitfire location will be more successful.
