I was (finally) back to K9 and kept my head down with Spinneys, so I mostly stayed home this week. Honestly, my inner introvert is still recovering from all the travel and going out. With crazy traffic (and even crazier Careem prices), not to mention a few deadlines, I was happy to stay in. Of course, I had to go to Ossiano for my birthday. The new menu, with 11 ‘waves,’ is a well-developed and delivered concept, plated beautifully by Chef Gregoire. There’s a brilliant scallop dish that I would love to eat a la carte any day of the week. Please check out the evening here. #invited
Some deliveries? Mohalla has opened in Riyadh and sent through a unique launch gift. The Kakao Guy sent through their monthly flavor of the month, Almond Joy (!), full of texture. Melange also sent through a range of cake slices (!) for my birthday, which was definitely appreciated. And yes, cake by the slice is now available. #gifted

We were so impressed with our Farmbox delivery last weekend! Plenty for two people (and absolutely perfect avocados, which are difficult to find). If you’d like to order, click here. Use my code COURTNEY20 to save. Valid for a month on 2 orders. #collab

Next week we’re going to Avatara, which takes over the space from Tresind Studio (who are now open at their new location at Nakheel Mall — I’m looking forward to going soon). I love that the restaurant is going in the direction of vegetarian dining, and cannot wait for the experience. I’m also belatedly checking out Caviar Kaspia, mainly because I believe in an extended approach to a birthday.
Finally, with a few weeks before visiting the States, I find myself looking at a stack of invites and trying to decide where to go. I’ve heard so many good things about places, I’m trying to figure out where to jump in! Feel free to let me know in the comments.
