Honestly, one of the longest weeks ever. And it’s not over yet.
Fortunately, there were some things to keep life optimistic.
Unbelievably proud to host one of the most celebrated chef groups in Dubai on Tuesday, which helped take my mind off of ahem, other things. You can read about the event here. In addition, I booked myself some (delicious) counter-programming and went out to dinner on Tuesday night for the inaugural meeting of my unofficial Food Club (a long talked about, often delayed group of fellow gourmands getting together). We tried the new Asian inspired menu at Carnival by Tresind. One of the things I like most about those in the Passion F&B group is how open they are to feedback. All of their restaurants are places where there is a lot of respect on both sides of the table, and I’d like to see more of that in the city. Use my code CARCOB to get a 25% off your total bill (not valid on Happy Hour menu and Lunch set menu).
I also started the week with a delivery from Mama Rita, which offered both healthy items (that hummus, though) and some homestyle options that were appreciated. Casinetto came through with the best burratina, which is never out of place in my kitchen, and coincidently, does not last long. Here’s my affiliate link, or use ATOZ to save 10%.
If you’ve not heard of Fruitful Day (a fresh fruit delivery service in the UAE), they are amazing, AND they’ve got a new product, fresh fruit pops. This is what I like to see when reading ingredients: all-natural cold-pressed juices, a touch of raw cane sugar, and no preservatives.
Links, please? (We all need a distraction).
