Weekly A to Z, Nov 13th.
The one with insomnia.
A very happy Diwali, to all those who celebrate!
We had a perfectly lovely brunch at Bai last weekend. When you’re with friends, it’s sometimes just about enjoying the atmosphere, eating your weight in Padron peppers, and exchanging humorous commentary about other diners (Emily in Paris, where you at?). On Saturday, I was out for chic sundowners at Noepe, which is definitely worth crossing the creek for. I’ll also forever remember the Park Hyatt as the place I heard the 46th POTUS announcement.
On Monday night, I attended a preview of the new Vine Around offered by The Tasting Class, which is an excellent way to learn about wine while sampling some of the best of Souk Madinat. The experience is available during the upcoming Dubai Vine Festival, if you’re interested. Also, I’ve partnered with TTC to give away at Riedel decanter. Want to win? Click over to this post.
On Wednesday night, I went to Brassiere Boulud to try some modern French cuisine. While I don’t think LPM or La Cantine have anything to worry about, I did love the pulled duck terrine. Have you been? What did you think?
While next week will be absolutely mega for deliveries, this week, I was happy to receive panettone from Casinetto, who has a range of authentic Italian pastries and products. If you’d like this holiday delicacy, here’s my affiliate link, or use ATOZ to save 10%.
I also received one of the most memorable PR gifts of 2020, a limited edition poster celebrating The Italian Way UAE from local designer Clare Napper (you will recognize her work at Highlife Posters). Want one of your own? The postcards will be gifted to customers who purchase three pints or four bottles of Peroni Nastro Azzurro at selected venues across the UAE, with a further three artworks launched across the coming months.

This weekend I’m over for an easy lunch at Bolla, and next week, I’m checking out Tresind Studio’s fifth season, follow my IG stories to see both. Also, I’ve got an eye on a number of delicious deliveries happening next week, and I’ll be visiting the new Food District at The Pointe, with plenty of local chefs I know and love. Did I mention it’s licensed? Because it’s licensed.
Also, do I know anyone who ‘gets’ Pinterest? I have 330k+ monthly viewers, and I’d love to monetize (??).
