Happy Mother’s Day to the special moms in my life: Vickie, Cecelia, and Erin! Also, in advance of this week, Eid Mubarak (why was Ramadan on fast forward this year?).
We’re back! A very special thanks to the team at Hilton Northolme for providing us a few additional hours of paradise before our flight, it was sincerely appreciated. (And very cool to see the Ian Fleming suite!)
On the ground at 2 AM, Le Clos order in hand at 2:30 AM, and home by 3 AM, we were a bit wonky on Tuesday. Collecting Poppy was a highlight (even if she kind of forgot who we were, and wanted to continue her stay at Woof).
Catching up with laundry, e-mails, etc. took us through Tuesday, and on Wednesday, I was invited to a Grana Padano-inspired iftar at the Waldorf Astoria, with a special menu from Chef Luigi. Let’s just say the risotto was epic, and it was fun to see some familiar faces. #collab
Thursday held a lovely surprise — The Goodness Company sent through some beautiful vegan chocolates, created with Chef Nouel.

Next week, I’m jumping straight back into that Dubai life with a visit to Tresind Studio for the latest season and I cannot wait. I also feel like I might also be the last person to visit Kinoya, but I’m so looking forward to it.
How are you spending Eid this year?
