As it turns out, there’s a lot of communication and time on social media that needs to take place when a venue becomes the first 3-Michelin-starred Indian restaurant in the world. (Humble brag, Gordon Ramsay followed us and sent through a lovely note of congratulations.) Thus, most of my week was spent online. I have absolutely no complaints; I’m just trying to stay organized and strive to match the restaurant’s level of service. With some inspiring interviews and other projects on the horizon, I’m trying to manifest all of them in a professional and timely manner. 😇
However, on Wednesday, I was asked by Finn Partners to host the Women Connecting the World of Luxury roundtable, and I was delighted to agree. Sponsored by the Beverly Hills Convention and Tourism Board and taking place at the Burj al Arab, I was among a room of extremely talented women. While I can’t reveal all the secrets, I can say that although classic heritage brands continue to hold value, the definition of luxury is rapidly evolving under the influence of social trends, and TikTok is at the forefront. Gen Z is reshaping the landscape, turning under-the-radar labels into overnight sensations. I hope this is the first of ongoing discussions.
And on Friday, I got a late call to pop on Farmer’s Kitchen and chat with Jen, which is always a fun way to end the week. Catch me from 55:17.
Finally, ahead of next week, wishing all Eid Mubarak.

Best dishes this month? It’s been a whirlwind, but the homemade fried chicken at Chez Fahy, the crispy aubergine from Kira, and the young tuna from the Takahisa collab just at the start of the month. Given everything that’s been going on, I’ve dined out quite a bit less (by choice) and am really prioritizing when and where I go out. And, of course, I would love to know your favorite dishes for May as well! What resonated for you?
