Battling a yucky cold (who gets sick on their birthday???!), I had a fantastic meal last weekend at Dinner by Heston. The Sunday roast, AED500 per person (no alcohol), features many favorites from the a la carte menu, including *the* meat fruit. Should you go for it and order a bottle of Nyetimber while you’re there? You absolutely should. #invited
On Tuesday, I decided to keep my birthday going and (finally) introduced my parents to Ossiano. Chef Gregoire and his talented team continue to keep culinary standards high with memorable dishes and a truly exceptional wine program from Thomas. #invited
On Thursday, we decided to take in some culture at the Louvre Abu Dhabi, followed by lunch at (where else?), Craft by Sidehustle. The brewery was (of course) a big hit.
Friday featured a meet-up with Liam and his parents (who were also visiting) and our second trip to the licensed Pitfire Pizza in a week (no apologies).
A few deliveries! GOAT Burger sent through their winter BBQ box, which made for an easy and delicious dinner on Saturday. Le Meridien sent over some treats, but more importantly, an Iftar experience that I could pay forward. Gerbou sent a beautiful Gerbou Fwalah, which was stunningly homemade. I felt the love baked into each bite. #gifted
Finally, for all the F&B professionals who have made my parents’ trip so special, thank you so much. I love being able to share what makes this country and being an expat so special.
