Another weekend ending on a high note. First Crust sent through a selection of their pies, which disappeared quickly. I love that they are now carrying savory choices as well. #gifted
On Monday, The Bookers were over to CMP for steak and other delights. Did I want to eat my weight in crispy Brussels sprouts? I did. Did we inhale the baked chocolate chip cookie? We did. Also worth mentioning? Dogs are allowed — inside the venue — on Sunday and Monday. If Poppy wasn’t terrified of existing outside of our villa, I would consider bringing her. Here’s a quick Reel of our visit, if you want to see. #invited
On Wednesday morning, I had a minor freak out when Qatar Airlines sent a ‘flight cancellation’ e-mail (turns out they are just changing planes, but yikes). They continue to send endless updates for our flight next month, which is not cool.
Otherwise, some behind the scenes busywork, including getting back to regularly scheduled Balayage at my fave salon, posting our first drone footage, keeping Poppy’s annual vaccinations up to date, and trying to decide where to dine in Atlanta (or where to order from). I’m also 24,000 words into my next book. Finally, please keep your fingers crossed everything goes smoothly for an upcoming press trip to France. Ideally, I’ll be Paris-bound on July 4th!

Today I’ll be on set with Lindsay of The Tasting Class, as we explore some excellent wines from California. Out videos will be posted in the following weeks. Next week, I’m going to the Tresind Studio x Bon Bon collab dinner (at 9:30!), as well as Rumba.

This is technically the last weekend of June (!), so, in no particular order, my favorite dishes of the month were the Pappardelle at Fi’lia, L'Artichaut from L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, and the sour cherry jam I made with Zahra (and friends).
What were your favorite dishes for June 2021?
