Weekly A to Z, June 18th.
The one with the finished manuscript.
A lazy Saturday afternoon was made entirely better by The Kakao Guy dropping off their new mango burnt cheesecake, which I brought to share with my fellow volunteers at K9 Friends. #gifted
On Sunday, I received a stunning ribeye from Australia Lamb and Beef. It certainly made deciding what to make for dinner easy... #gifted
For Tuesday, it was over to Carna by Dario Cecchini. It’s been a while since I’ve been to a steakhouse, and this one is interesting. While I still think the entrance to SLS is quite possibly the worst in the city, the use of offal is a unique offer. My suggestion? Pop to S Bar for sundowners — the views of the Dubai skyline are stellar — and then head to dinner. I’ll be posting a full review for my paid subscribers in the next week. Here’s a quick video with highlights from the evening. #invited
Wednesday involved a meeting for a project I’m very excited about (#intentionallyvague), and I finished editing the final draft of my current manuscript (75,170 words, if you’re interested). Next stop, proofreader!

What’s up for next week? The Bookers are heading over to Chicago Meatpackers (or CMP, as its latest iteration). I’m also (long) overdue for hair color correction, and Poppy needs her yearly vaccinations. We take her to The Vet Hospital, who do so much wonderful work with K9 Friends.
