Eid Mubarak!
After a visit to Teible last weekend (check our lunch out here), it was a deceptively busy week. I spoke at the Louis XIII Past, Present, and Future event about the future of fine dining, volunteered at K9, had some exciting meetings, and managed a bit of self-care.
Chill Salon offered me a blowout (which I booked at their marina location and had fab hair for my presentation, which was super appreciated). I also finally made it to Beau Rivage to catch up with Chef Chabchoul, who treated me to a bespoke off the menu lunch. To finish the week, I went to Garth at the Kempinski. I was pleasantly surprised, and as much as I dislike MOE (!), this charming venue is a delightfully quiet spot out of the madness (that also serves alcohol, and offers valet parking). Have a look at the straightforward menu here. #invited
I’m nearly 40 pages into editing my next manuscript, and while I wrapped one project with Spinneys, I’ve started another short project with them that should be a large part of my long weekend.

This weekend? With Hubs away for the next week, I’m going to tackle some home decluttering (this article looks promising) and editing.
Next week? Let’s see! I’m ticking off a visit to Mayabay and hopefully Bastion and Belcanto as well. Also, an update of sorts: I’m not going to London for the World’s 50 Best (July 18th), which is something I’m totally okay with. I’ll still be delighted to cheer for my global favorites from Dubai (and save some calories, dizzles, and travel headaches at the same time). This will be my first summer ‘in’ Dubai for a long time, and I’m ready to catch up, and dare I say it, get ahead? Are you traveling in the next few months? Let me know!
