Not sure about you, but I loved a chilled, quiet week.
I did my best to catch up with reviews — starting with Belcanto on Wednesday. Located in the Dubai Opera space, the interior has changed from previous versions (for the better). I loved the house quintet, and wish more outlets featured live music. Also — perhaps peak Dubai — but air-conditioned golf carts are the OTT element I never knew I needed. Have a look at our visit here. #invited
I stepped out to Mayabay on Thursday. Having heard great things, I enjoyed the vibey location and a range of Asian favorites. Overall, I think it’s a much better fit than Katsuya. Want to have a look? Of course, you do! #invited
Honest reviews will be coming to paid subscribers in the following weeks.
Facette was also kind enough to invite me over for a Cosmic Glow facial (much needed in this humid/sandy blur of summer). Full results will be in 3-4 weeks, but I was once again impressed by the knowledgeable team. #invited
Finally, you were all so generous with K9 previously, this is your official Save the Date for Puppy Ball on November 5th. Besides buying tickets and attending, you can help in a number of ways. We accept donations of vouchers, coupons, or physical items. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and we rely on the help of the community to make it a success. Also, (trust me) there's no better event to book a corporate table for. If you have any questions on how you can help, please contact me directly, or send an e-mail to puppyball@k9friends.com I sincerely hope to see you on the dance floor in November!

This weekend? Hubs returns tonight (!). Poppy might meet up with her sister Pip (!!!). I’ve also been invited to try Body Smart’s Hypoxi services this morning. I will report back on how things go (and if it’s possible to lose 1kg in a session, I’m certainly hoping so)!
Next week? I’m taking a bit of a step back, but hope to visit Il Ristorante-Niko Romito** for dinner, and Canvas Gelato has convinced me to stop by for their summer special. Otherwise, wishing the best to everyone in London, and looking forward to the results of The World’s 50 Best 2022 on Monday. Also, tune in next Friday, I’ll be back in the studio on Dubai Eye talking all things food!
