Just to report that the Tresind Studio** x Gucci Osteria* (Tokyo) collab last Saturday was a brilliant meal. Chef Himanshu presented some delicious new dishes that I hope to see again (very soon). Best of all? The take-home savory biscuits from Chef Antonio Iacoviello were nothing short of amazing (and I definitely ate too many in one sitting the following day). #invited
With one eye on Tropical Storm Debby, we dropped Poppy off at Woof, picked up our new BBQ, and on Thursday, we were off early to Doha on our (slightly late) way to Atlanta on Qatar Airlines. Sorry, EK, but the Q-Suites are a superior product and land us much closer to home in the United States.
Reflecting on Summer 2024 so far, July was steady and productive, while August is already throwing some (excellent) curveballs at me for September and beyond. I’m looking forward to helping the American economy for the next two weeks and returning rested, refreshed, and ready to hit the ground running for a busy Q4. With trips to Bodrum, Bangkok, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and maybe KSA on the horizon, there’s a lot to look forward to, including our hopefully finished pool and backyard.
Some deliveries? I’m finally catching up with a few US products that caught my eye in the past few months, including the Water & Wines puzzle (region, champagne, company, sustainable), as well as Home Chef, who sent through a range of delicious frozen flatbreads to share with the family. Cheeky Cocktails delivered on the BEST (non-alcoholic) mixers to make cocktail making and appertivo an easy event at home. #gifted
