Our book club boat trip on the Boat by the Address last Saturday was truly memorable. Honestly, if you’re looking for a different corporate event or location for something unique for a baby shower or engagement party, this venue might be something to consider.
Although the process of getting to the Seychelles looks a little different these days (a negative PCR test, plus a somewhat nerve-wracking application process prior to departure), we did arrive safely to Mahe early on Tuesday. And Poppy is safe and happy with her friends at Woof (not sponsored, we just love how gentle they are with our anxious little doggo, and how many pictures they send us every day).
We were warmly welcomed by the Hilton Northolme and didn’t want to leave. You can see our room here, and I’ve also got a Reel up of the property. I want to disclose that we were guests of the property, but having been numerous times to the island, I think Northolme is worth putting on your list.
Leaving Northolme, we caught up with friends Liam and Naomi at a beautiful Airbnb on Eden Island. The location is an excellent spot to explore from, although paradise continues to beckon, and we’ll be over to Hilton Labriz on the 1st (where we’ll once again be guests of the property).
Best of all? Worlds collided last night when we learned Lindsay and Paul of The Tasting Class were also staying on Mahe, and we had a reunion at the Takamaka Distillery. The property is currently closed for renovations, but we have some wonderful people in our network and ended up getting a lovely behind-the-scenes tour (as well as some excellent octopus curry).
Links, please (shorter than usual due to painfully slow internet on the island).

It’s (somehow) the end of April! What were your favorite dishes? Starting strong at Tresind Studio, I fondly remember the Kebab Scarpetta, with sourdough Foccacia, and yeast butter, my first visit to Time Out Market (no, I won’t play favorites), and Zahra’s Duck Pastilla at Casear’s Bluewaters. The Karak chai burnt cheesecake collab between The Kakao Guy x Project Chailwala also deserves a special mention.
This weekend? Well, we’re going to continue exploring paradise. I’m not ready to accept going back to reality just yet.
