Weekly A to Z, April 23rd.
The one in between.
The edit is finished! For my (second) first draft of 2021, I was delighted to send the manuscript off to my publisher. I’m taking a short break (Seychelles!), and when I’m back, I’ll get to work on a final draft of a sequel to one of my 2020 releases.
While I didn’t intend to have a busy week, it was steady. On Monday, the Bookers met up at Shop Retold for some sustainable fashion and literary chat. Did we order Pitfire Pizza? Yes. Did I also find some cute new tops? I did.
On Wednesday, I was back to Time Out Market Dubai to film a promo for folly workshop by interviewing Chef Gerard and trying some of the delicious dishes (#collab). I’ll let you know when it’s live. If you haven’t been yet, just go — there are so many wonderful restaurants to check out, and the prices are very reasonable!
On Thursday, I was invited to Caesars Bluewaters by the talented Zahra (of Zahra’s Kitchen), and it was lovely to catch up with so many incredibly talented women. Catch Zahra’s menu during Ramadan at the Roman Lounge, there’s plenty to enjoy.
Finally, a kind note to PRs: when sending items through to my residence, please work with delivery companies who a) call or arrange first b) do not deliver after 10 PM, and c) have some indication of what the campaign is about/who the product is from.
Also filed under ‘frustrating things this week,’ I am 0-2 when it comes to hairdressers, as I substantially overpaid for average services. This is probably what I deserve after stepping out on my regular salon. #brownhairdocare

The Bookers are having a bonus session this weekend on The Boat by Address. Needless to say, we are excited about the experience. Keep an eye on our socials for the fun.
And this time next week, I’ll be sending you the newsletter from the sunny Seychelles. Will I be perusing Le Clos before departure? You bet. I’m ready to get back into all my old travel traditions.
If you enjoy this newsletter, consider telling a friend, purchasing my books, subscribing to my podcast, or buying me a coffee.
