To be fair, Iβve done a fairly terrible job recently of picking restaurants or going to places that are too βsame same.β Itβs my own fault β Iβm the one doing the scheduling and accepting mediocre invitations. On paper, the SushiSamba x Sushi Iwao Tokyo collab looked like it was finally worth visiting. Furthermore, Iβve never met a to-do list I canβt clear, and SushiSamba has been on that list since it opened in 2022 (?). Yes, the views are amazing, but the actual/technical ability to enter the restaurant is shit.
In a crowded lift, the doors open into a hopelessly small lobby, creating a terrible first impression. Also not helping? The pervasive smell of stale smoke. Like, that early-2000s-just-getting-out-of-a-club vibe. Maybe cute in your 20s, but now itβs borderline disgusting. I know this restaurant does well for itself, so why canβt they invest in a better filtration system?
