Although a bit tired towards the end of a recent trip in Parma, we were all excited to try a local Michelin-rated restaurant, Parizzi, the current recipient of one star. Although we did not pay for this meal, for reference, a tasting menu tends to run around EUR80 per person (not including wine or desserts).
The restaurant? Easy to find, and located near(ish) to the center of town.
The interior? Weirdly modern in an 80’s way (not charming).
The food? Good(ish). Our group collectively agreed that it was our least favorite meal of all the places we went in our whirlwind three days in Parma. I’m not sure if that’s because we were spoiled for the places we went previously, or a sort of disconnect with the menu, or the amount of fish on the menu (so. much. fish.), but it wasn’t particularly memorable. Or, at least not in a way where I will remember anything from the meal two weeks from now.
