So, sometimes in my great professional wisdom, restaurants are on my radar, and then fall off. And in the case of persistent (not annoying) PR professionals, I make promises that I actually keep. Even if my visit is two years after opening. *cough* So, what made me say yes? Two reasons, actually. One, the PR in question offered me a 4-top. It’s not that I dislike going out with a +1; in fact, it’s always fun. However, it’s even more enjoyable to treat additional friends, and this was an easy opportunity. My second reason was that the offered menu provided a fun and original experience. It’s not that I don’t love an Asian/Asian-fusion/Asian-adjacent restaurant; it’s just that this type of cuisine is probably the most overdone style in Dubai. Thus, a wagyu omakase was the perfect excuse to make my way across town to the Mandarin and finally visit Netsu.
