As I am forever behind (or double-booked) on openings, events, and other activations, I missed the grand launch of the Delano in November (in this instance, it was the night of 10 invites—Dubai PR, maybe coordinate a bit better?). Additionally, having seen numerous foodie friends visit Maison Revka, I admit — I was influenced.
For those who previously visited Caesar’s Palace (before it became it was chopped up into the Delano and Banyan Tree, respectively), MR sits in the former all-day dining/adults-only pool area. Like many Rikas projects, the space has been completely revamped and now includes a small patisserie, swim shop, and (expensive) housewares. For the record, I didn’t check the prices.
Downstairs, the fit-out of the restaurant is OTT but just shy of being excessive (well, in my opinion, at least — this is Dubai, after all). For the demographic that seems to frequent the establishment, this choice makes sense. Is the design/aesthetic for me? No. Can I appreciate it? Yes. Does…
