A recent visit marked my second trip to Jaleo at Atlantis the Royal. I went for lunch sometime last year, primarily to meet Chef Jose Andres. My reason for returning was also…to meet Jose Andres. For all his work with World Central Kitchen, I’m so impressed with all he does for the global community and would always prioritize spending time with this chef.
After a quick drink at the bar, we were presented with the tasting menu of Jaleo, which is available for AED700 per person. The degustation features an extensive collection of tapas, representing some of the restaurant’s best dishes.
For our tasting menu, to start, we receive the signature “liquid” olives served with classically prepared olives. As someone who does not like olives in any form but does appreciate the presentation, I take a picture and (respectfully) move on.
