While in Belgrade, we had the opportunity to go to Homa, a highly recommended restaurant in the city, and listed in the Michelin guide. As we learned from the owner — who was kind enough to drop by on a Sunday afternoon — the venue has been open for 12 years and was one of the first restaurants in the city to do fine dining. On a perfect day in April, we could sit outside and were the only diners for most of our meal.
Although a la carte is available, I appreciated the available degustations: an eight-course and six-course (both with traditional proteins) and a five-course vegetarian experience. Each menu was available with a delicious, exceptionally spectacular wine pairing (and best of all, did not need to be ordered as a group). As in the rest of Serbia, pricing across a la carte and tasting menus is incredible. Furthermore, our waitress was highly knowledgeable about all the menus.
