I believe we’re all aware of my specific feelings about chain restaurants on certain lists — a refresher here — but that doesn’t mean these experiences can’t still be great ones.
I first went to Hakkasan Abu Dhabi in January 2015 and was impressed by a friend‘s 40th birthday at the location (perhaps it was the private dining room with its own hidden bathroom, but I digress). I most recently visited Emirates Palace to dine at Talea in March 2022. During that time, I got to stay in one of the upgraded rooms (thank you, Mandarin Oriental, for this investment) and enjoyed the experience (even if it was only for 16 hours). Thus, when an opportunity came to revisit the Palace, experience Talea, and dine at Hakkasan, my answer was an enthusiastic yes.
