I’ll admit that folly brasserie (I didn’t realize there was an additional word officially tacked onto the title, but here we are) was not high on my (never-ending) list of restaurants to visit. However, as with all the PR in this city, I sometimes feel a need to (finally) say yes to certain things (especially when my book club cancels on said PR firm the day of an event and I do think that I owe them coverage even if they haven’t given me any pressure to). Ahem.
So, given its proximity to Hubs’s work, we find ourselves at folly (I’m dropping ‘brasserie’ for the remainder of the review) for an early dinner service. Unfortunately — and I’m not being hyperbolic — the experience was one of the most disappointing dinners I’ve had this year. Given the restaurant is (currently) Michelin Guide-listed and a 50 Best Discovery venue (!), I’m a little shocked (and have to believe these rankings are based on the previous menu and location).
