I’ll be transparent: I initially created this article to write about The Guild, which I also recently visited (the same night as my trip to Flor, which is how I will refer to the title for the remainder of the article, sorry for fans of the Ø). When I booked an early pre-dinner reservation, I thought it would be for a quick catch-up with a friend and to have a bite or two and maybe a glass of wine or a cocktail. At most, I would write a short paragraph about my experience at Flor and be on my way.
I thought entirely wrong.
Heading down to DIFC, after a little bit of exploration around the Ritz-Carlton (a word of advice — don’t enter through the main entrance), I met the owner immediately after walking in.
