I had a few parameters when I was tasked with finding a good restaurant for my Dad’s (76th) birthday last week. My parents don’t love traveling into the city of Atlanta, so I had to look OTP (outside the perimeter, for those not from the ATL), for a place that would suit. My requests? Original, and not a chain restaurant. I also try and avoid strip malls (and yes, yours truly had a selection of mediocre strip mall food recently).
Enter, Falling Rabbit, located in charming downtown Duluth. Upon approach, this standalone restaurant has sort of Alice in Wonderland-type vibes, which we all loved. Settled into a cozy banquette, Hubs took advantage of a White Negroni (and then an Old Fashioned). The craft cocktails were definitely interesting, and we all lucked into the 50% Wine Wednesdays (half-off wines by the glass, which we took full advantage of).
