It’s been *ahem* a minute since I’ve been to Coya — six years ago, if you want to read my initial thoughts. Since then, like everyone in town, I have known Coya as perhaps THE place for a rowdy, posh, and expensive Saturday brunch. And, as tempting as a brunch visit is, I decide to return for lunch. Upon arrival, I’m treated to a stunning new interior. Is the venue still enormous? It is. However, the restaurant is carved into separate locations, so each seat feels intimate in the ample space.
Although the set lunch menu (catch the offer here if you’re interested in the details) is specific for its selections, the team generously sends us a few extras #perksofthejob. I also find it delightful that there are cocktails on special, and we both decide on a passion fruit martini, AED40. The drink is not only priced well but entirely too easy to drink. I start to understand why the Coya brunches get so rowdy…
