Although my trips to DIFC are now few and far between (well, now, even more than when I drafted this a few weeks ago), there are a few venues that can still tempt me out. And so, one lazy Sunday at the start of Ramadan (and before the start of, y’know, all that other stuff going on in the region), we made our way to Barrafina. Where is DIFC’s latest and greatest? So glad you asked. It’s around the corner from Roberto’s and tucked behind Salt Bae Burger (which I was SHOCKED to see was still open). If you’re wondering, I asked myself: how many versions of this restaurant have I been to? I’m unsure, but I believe Barrafina is (at least) the 3rd or 4th iteration. Yes, DIFC is a harsh mistress. And, as I don’t really remember the other versions, may Barrafina be the most successful outlet and break the curse of the location.
