Hopping on the short flight from Dubai, our group is greeted on arrival directly off the plane by a gentleman holding a Raffles sign, and this (professional) surprise should indicate the fantastic trip we’re about to have. He walks us directly through the airport and immediately to the Al Maha welcome lounge. Here, I am forever spoiled as we go through private passport control. There’s even somebody to collect luggage for us, and I don’t think I’ll ever have an easier entry into a country. We are gathered outside the airport at arrivals in beautiful house Bentleys, with personalized notes and water waiting for us.
